The journal is open-access and has no sponsor; authors are asked to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) for their article to be published with open access under a Creative Commons license. The payment method is via PayPal.

- Authors’ ability to pay publication fees will never be considered when deciding whether to publish.
International Authors:
A) Publication Fee: the publication fee will be charged conditionally:
A-1: For High-Income Countries, USD 1600 (+ $ 50 for PayPal’s money transfer).
A-2: For Low/Middle-Income Countries, USD 550 (+ $ 50 for PayPal’s money transfer).
A-2: For Low/Middle-Income Countries, USD 550 (+ $ 50 for PayPal’s money transfer).
The publisher will decide about A-1 or A-2 conditions of publication charges for multiple national papers.
B) Video Abstract: USD 100 (+ $ 20 for PayPal’s money transfer).
C) English Native Edit: To help non-English-speaking writers, the manuscript hasn’t been rejected due to “English Native” problems. Still, the journal office performs Native English Edits after final acceptance by trusted editors with no extra charges.
D) Rapid Review Process: The payment for rapid review has been removed, but the journal guarantees that all submissions will be reviewed in 8 weeks with no extra charges.
E) Quick Release: This charge has also been removed, and the journal will publish every accepted article in three working weeks with no extra charges as In Press/Online First articles.
F) The “Cancellation Fee” for retracting the manuscript from the review process; the authors must pay $1350 (Low/Middle-Income Countries) and $3400 (High-Income Countries) for the penalty.
Due to the arrival of Autumn and the start of the new semester in the universities, the Annals of Applied Sport Science decided to offer a 600 USD discount on all articles from High-Income Countries submitted to the journal from September 22, 2024, until December 20, 2024.
In this offer, if the manuscript is accepted after the review process, each author should pay $ 1050 instead of $ 1650.
